We’re an independent residential hall, and have been serving the University of Canterbury for almost 90 (full on!) years

Bishop Julius Hall is built around a sunny, sheltered inner courtyard, nestled against the University campus.

Easy location

It’s a pleasant five-minute walk through the University gardens to the campus with its library, lecture theatres and student amenities, as you’ll see from this map.

And we’re within easy walking distance of the Bush Inn shopping centre and the buses.

If you are a prospective student visiting Christchurch we will be pleased to show you through the Hall, and arrange for you to meet with the Principal. In fact we’d welcome the chance!
